KAO Sport is the second biggest sports store in Ecuador and they are in the market for more than 40 years now. They have stores in Quito, Guayaquil, Manta, Machala, and a franchise store in Cuenca.

In 2019 they approached HotBrands® to help them professionalize their communication by repositioning their brand, increasing the ‘top of mind’, and, as a result, grow their sales. Although they had a visual logo, their brand needed clear positioning and purpose, personality, and brand values.

KAO Sport had a market study done and – to complete the research – HotBrands® did a branding workshop with the management team. With these analyses we developed a brand strategy, the starting point from where we build both strategies: (i) for communication and (ii) for content. These contained an advice for which channels to use, opportunities for co-branding and working together with influencers, and the principal pillars for the content on their website and social media.

HotBrands® delivered the visual digital strategy and developed their summer social media campaign. The objective of the campaign was to show the diversity of products and brands that they have, to guide (potential) customers in their purchase. As you can see, the campaign shows KAO Sport as an inspiration to have sportive experiences.
